Classical Crossover Music

Sarah studied her Bachelors of Music at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Sarah’s love for classical music and desire to popularise classical has led Sarah to become a pioneer in the Classical Crossover Genre.  Sarah’s loves mix of genres within the classical crossover world and is gathering more and more listeners and radio play as a genre. Along with creating her own arrangements of much loved classical music, Sarah has a paved her way in the Classical Crossover world, writing and arranging her own music. Known for her vibrant string arranging, warm saxophone sound and electric stage presence. Sarah pushes boundaries with cross collaboration of music, circus and dance developing interwoven dynamic performances with music.

Sarah gained recognition in the Classical Crossover world first with girl group Sahara. Creating the first classical crossover group with saxophone. Sahara, made up of string trio and saxophone in which Sarah wrote and arranged for the group. Performing a varied mix of tangos, pop covers and classical crossover filmic music. Releasing debut single Sahara Tango, featured on Classic FM TV. Career highlights include solo performances at the Purcell Rooms, Queen Elizabeth Hall. A commission from Yamaha to produce and perform in the band for Classic FM and Yamaha Tour, Support for Katherine Jenkins and featured artists on Jonathan Antoine Tour.

Sarah’s love for Tango led her to explore one of the most famous Tangos’s in the world, composed by Piazzolla. Sarah’s unique style leads her to write for string orchestra, soprano saxophone, rhythm section and beatboxer.

Over The Rainbow – Solo Saxophone

One of Sarah’s favourite tunes to play on the saxophone, Over the Rainbow. A beautiful tune and works so elegantly as a solo unaccompanied piece on the saxophone. Filmed at the end of one of Sarah’s recent video shoots as a quick video for fun. Sarah takes the “Wizard Of Oz’ classic and turns it into her own using her unique style and grace to confidently portray this beautiful song.

As a soloist and with her girl band Sahara , Sarah has headlined at the Purcell Rooms, Southbank Centre London, toured with Jonathan Antoine, produced the show and band VISION for Yamaha and Classic FM tour, shared a stage with Katherine Jenkins, produced, arranged and curated TFI Friday’s Brass Off, opened the Rugby League Season, headlined with Peter Andre, Opened Harvey Nichols in Kuwait and more recently produced and performed in the closing show for Underbelly Festival, Southbank Centre London
